The idea to develop a Central Laboratory in University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) was submitted in 2009 and the laboratory was completed by 2010. The official launching ceremony was on June, 17th 2011. Central Laboratory was developed as prposed by the Ministry of Higher Education to fulfill university needs of highly sophisticated and centralised testing facilities, equipped with the latest technology and expertise for analysis and testing. The specific aim was to promote optimum usage of analysis and testing facilities among the academia.
